Athletic Club

Getafe

Two sides level on nine points and short of goals. Athletic Club are 15th, winless in four and have scored eight in eight games, and they lose Laporte to suspension with Sancet and Guruzeta injured. Getafe have five goals in nine matches, are without the suspended Djené plus Mangala, Uche and Juanmi, yet have won the last two meetings, including a 1-0 at Athletic a year ago to the day. Neither attack looks equipped to make this open.

La Liga15:15

Celta Vigo

Real Betis

Celta Vigo are unbeaten in six in La Liga, two wins and four draws, after a 2-1 home win over Alavés, and 11 points after nine rounds is their joint-second-best return at this stage in a decade. Real Betis are fourth on 19 points with six wins but have conceded 14, and they lose Cucho Hernández to injury and Bernal to suspension. Every one of the last five meetings saw both sides score, with three draws in the last four. Celta are without Starfelt and Iglesias.

Premier League16:30

Sunderland

Leeds

Sunderland are bottom with four points, have not won a league game since the end of August and have suffered four straight domestic defeats. Danso is suspended after his red card against Bournemouth, Ballard is out, though Brobbey should be ready according to Le Bris. Leeds are eighth, beaten only once in seven and have conceded just six goals, with Calvert-Lewin a doubt with a bruised foot. Leeds won 1-0 here in July and these meetings are tight, which suits the visitors.

La Liga17:30

Real Sociedad

Levante

Real Sociedad are fifth on 16 points, have won four of their last five and are unbeaten in four, with Pablo Marín back from suspension to offset the absences of Aramburu, Beitia, Herrera and Odriozola. Levante are 13th, have lost their last two and are waiting on fitness tests for Dela, Bardeli and Sotelo. Sociedad beat Levante 2-0 at home in April and won the previous two home meetings 1-0, and while they concede plenty, 17 in nine, they score just as freely.

Premier League14:00

Crystal Palace

Newcastle

Two leaky sides in the bottom half. Crystal Palace have conceded 17 in seven and were thrashed 5-0 at Brighton, while Newcastle have shipped four goals in each of their last two away games, at Leeds and Coventry, and lost three of their last four in the league. The history favours the hosts, though: Newcastle have won just one of their last 11 league visits to Palace, who beat them 2-1 here in April. Henderson is a doubt for Palace, Livramento is out for Newcastle.
