Accumulators
The most heavily promoted football bet — and, by the arithmetic below, the worst value on the board.
What is an accumulator?
Several bets joined into one — also called an acca, a parlay or a multi.

One loser anywhere and the whole bet loses, however the rest finished.
Three legs at 1.80 pay 1.80 × 1.80 × 1.80 = 5.83, not 5.40.
The acca reprices on the remaining legs. Rules vary by bookmaker and market — check where you bet.

Are accumulators a good bet?
Entertainment with a known cost — not an investment.

Whenever the leg carries a margin, and at a normal price it does. The price went up because the chance went down by more.

How to stake an accumulator

Smaller than a single, stated in units so the difference is visible.

Keep it short
Stretching for a nicer price is what the table argues against.

Never chase
Never follow a losing acca with a bigger one — the most expensive habit in football betting.

Not a hedge or a way out of a bad run. One bet with a low chance of landing.
Accumulators on FreakBets
Why can't an accumulator be posted here?
A tip is one selection on one fixture, because that is what settles automatically from a result. A multi-leg tip needs every leg, each leg's price, the combined price and each leg marked won or lost — including the one that broke it. That is not built yet.
Would accumulator tips get a record?
If they are added: price recorded at posting, and every one settled into the public record — an acca that fell at the last leg as the losing bet it is. They would get a line of their own, not be folded in with singles. No record here includes one yet.
Why explain them at all?
Refusing would not stop anyone building one. The realistic choice is an acca with the maths beside it, or one built at speed with none.
