Bayern München
Borussia DortmundDer Klassiker, and this one has goals written all over it. These two don't do cagey anymore. Bayern at home play at a tempo nobody in Germany can live with, and Dortmund's whole identity is attack first and ask questions later. When these teams meet, the game gets stretched early and it stays stretched. The scoreline models floating around this one are 3-2 and 2-1, and both of those tell the same story: chances at both ends from the first whistle.
The reason I like the over here more than picking a side is the way both defenses are built right now. Bayern push so high that they always give up transition chances, and Dortmund have exactly the kind of pace in behind that punishes it. But Dortmund's back line cannot handle sustained pressure, and Bayern at home create five or six clear looks a game against anybody. You don't need a blowout to clear 3.5 here. You need a normal Klassiker. A 2-2 lands it. A 3-1 lands it. One early goal and this game opens up completely because neither manager knows how to sit on anything.
History backs it too. This fixture has a habit of producing goal fests, and both squads are built to score right now rather than to shut a game down. If you're nervous about the number, over 2.5 is the safer cousin, but the real value is at 3.5 because the price doesn't reflect how chaotic this matchup actually gets.
