Lask Linz
LiverpoolLASK are in bad shape right now. They've gone 4 competitive games without a win, and on Sunday they lost 2-0 at home to Rapid. In the Champions League they couldn't even score against AEK. They've also got more injuries: Bello is out for sure, Harakate is out with a knee injury, and Usor is a doubt after hurting his shoulder at the weekend. That leaves them weaker at the back and with less pace going forward.
Liverpool will rotate, and they lost the City game. But even their second-string players are far better than this LASK team. We've seen this game before too. Liverpool won 3-1 in Linz and 4-0 at Anfield in the Europa League a couple of years ago. LASK have played English clubs 6 times and never beaten one, and Liverpool have never lost a competitive game in Austria.
LASK will sit deep and try to counter, but they don't have the legs or the form to keep that up for 90 minutes. Liverpool also need a reaction after the City loss. I expect them to have most of the ball and pull away in the second half. Anything from 2-0 to 3-1 looks right to me, and even if they only win by one, the -1 line gives us our stake back.
